So yeah, I’m HISTORY nuts. Certifiable. You knew that, right? I’ve got a thing for history. Not just any old history, but the gritty, earth-under-your-fingernails kind. That’s why I’ve signed myself up for this 63-Mile Challenge.
I've spent more than two decades slugging rocks and rolling down the road, looking to put life back into historical locations. It's been my obsession since the first rock I picked up. And I crave more.
You see, it’s not just about racking up the miles. No, this is for the American Battlefield Trust, an organization that’s fighting the good fight to preserve the very grounds where some of the most intense, brutal moments in American history went down. We’re talking about the battlefields where soldiers spilled their guts for a cause they believed in, right or wrong. The Trust is all about saving these hallowed places from the wrecking ball of progress and letting them whisper their tales to those of us who care to listen.
So here I am, dragging my sorry, history-obsessed tail across 63 miles of…well, you get the picture. But I’m not just doing it for the kicks. I need your help, dear reader. I want you to click this link and share it with anyone who has a pulse. Let’s get the word out. We owe it to those who bled for this land to keep their stories alive.
